I am a Social Studies teacher in the Detroit, Michigan area. I’ve always loved to travel and spent my sophomore year in college living in Rome, Italy. Using Rome as our base, we explored Italy, most of Europe, Scandinavia, Egypt, and Greece. After many family vacations across the US, I turned back to international travel. I try to take advantage of every opportunity to teach and study abroad and have enjoyed a few amazing adventures over the years. During the summer of 2012 I traveled to China to work with students in Beijing, China for five weeks. I spent three weeks in Istanbul during the summer of 2015 with a National Endowment of the Humanities program called Crossroads of History.
I am excited to share news about my upcoming trip to the Republic of Georgia! On March 11th I’ll be travelling with an awesome group of educators from across the United States to the Republic of Georgia. Our focus is globalizing education and making connections. Review the PowerPoint I presented to our school board for more information about global education. Stay tuned……..
